If you are going to send an ask with traumatic/commonly triggering content in someone’s ask box take 2 seconds to send a quick ask saying “Hey are you okay with me asking a question that involves X content?” or “Would it be triggering for you if I asked about X?” And wait for an answer before proceeding.
