Whether it sprouts from an unnecessary want to overpower the same attitude from monotheism or something else entirely, I’ll never know, but either way it’s elitist bullshit and I despise it. We’re better than that.

Yes exactly, worded perfectly. I’ve seen too many posts or responses to posts about how “you aren’t practicing witchcraft right if you do x” and they list some ridiculous reason.
