Hear me out, please
I am in no way transphobic or homophobic, but I am getting tired of people calling Artemis and Apollo trans. They’re Gods, Artemis, born a woman, and Apollo born a man, seeing as the sun and moon are masculine and feminine energies. I think that Artemis stays as a woman as that is what she stands for, but Gods can change they’re gender on a whim. Don’t flood me with hate, please. I’m also not saying that trans men aren’t masculine, or trans women aren’t feminine, I’m just saying that that’s not how Apollo talks to me, but he might show himself differently to different people.
Saying that he comes across as really masculine then you say he doesn’t come across as trans, you ARE saying that trans people are not masculine enough. It insinuates that somehow they are not thoroughly as masculine as a cis male. I am not saying that it’s intentional but saying that it isn’t transphobic isn’t necessarily true.
Also, saying you are tired of people calling Atremis and Apollo trans…that can also stand out as pretty transphobic or homophobic. Essentially, it’s like people saying they are tired of seeing LGBTA+ in media, or headcannon’s, etc. If people can interpret gods however the gods present themselves to people, then why is it okay to say it’s tiring to see that? It seems pretty disrespectful to those people who see them as such.
