@ fellow Christian witches
I have a hard time with the concept of the Bible, since I have heard it being discredited and that it isn’t a good solid source of God’s word, since it was written by man. This has been a test of faith..I was wondering how to deal with it? Or..if there is a different way to think about it? It wasn’t, after all, written by Them but by humans.
Hello my friend, I am not a Christian witch, but I would like to put in my understandings towards the subject from my old christian practice, and life while growing up, and the information that I have from my family members. As the way I see it the Bible is not a good source of God’s words, because of how much it has been tampered with, but it does have some good understandings, and values for christians to know. It also contains the tradition, and culture of the religion which can be quite useful for remembering the practices, stories, and reasons for doing things, which can also help all Christians to be on the same page when it comes to worshipping God. A lot of the parts of the Bible were edited, and changed, but some of the core main messages do still remain inside its pages, and are worth seeking out, and understanding to bring you closer to god, and his words. But, you have to remember that God does speak through you and that he is constantly with you. The words of God are imprinted upon your soul, and in order for you to read them all you have to do is look within. The book can help teach you lessons, and to decipher that message, but you already have all that you need. The books of the Bible were written by men who experienced God in many different ways, and chose to write down their experiences in order to share that message, and to give Faith to those who needed it. So look within, hear God’s words, learn from the written word, follow your path, and you will do just fine.

Such a good insight! I also love everything else that you have stated. You are absolutely right. And it is comforting to think that it does still have the core of Christianity within some of its teachings. As you said, the tradition, culture, etc. Thank you for the help!
