Bugs. They’ll clean out the books and crannies without damaging the bones. Maggots leave stains, so I’d recommend beetles. I wouldn’t boil bones that small, they’ve always fractured and discolored due to the heat, but maybe I was doing it wrong.

Okay so I found a carcass of a mouse and ngl I kinda want to keep it around so I can collect its bones after it’s fully decayed. What’s the safest/most efficient way of doing this?
