I’ve been in MI for a few days and it’s sorta hard to believe. I missed it so much it feels surreal returning.
A lot of churches and childcare centers are getting locks put on their doors so they can limit access to their spaces. If you have gained access to a space it is because you are considered safe to be there.
Do not open the door or leave the door open for people behind you.
It may seem polite, but you could be allowing someone in who is not approved to be there. In childcare situations one of the number one reasons for violence is domestic issues. That means the person behind you that you think is there to pick up their kid may have a gun or may not even be allowed to pick up the child any longer. You will not have the necessary information to know that person is not allowed inside but the directors will. The same goes for churches (especially those that house childcare programs.)
