Hey!!

I guess people pray for a variety of reasons:

☀️ to ask questions
☀️ to ask for advice or signs
☀️ to ask for help in life

Prayer is one of the most direct forms of communication between a worshiper and god, but it is mostly a one way street. You can ask for help, and feel the effects months or even years later.

I personally tend to pray for a good day, for the sun to come out. But, I actually find it quite difficult to pray, I never really know what to say or ask for. I often use ‘adorations’ instead. So when I leave the house I will address the sun, as Khepri, Ra or Atum depending on time of day. This will be something like;

Hail to you, Ra! Lord of the Midday Sun! Great and mighty Lord! He who gives and takes sight! I honour you!

It isn’t a prayer as such, but rather me ‘checking in’. I’m not asking or wanting anything beyond letting them know I’m thinking of them and love them.

Saying that, at this moment in time I’m praying that my partner gets the job he’s applied for. It would mean that we have move to London, and I really really want to move to London 😀
