Sometimes, you can choose your own deity(ies). Sometimes, they choose you.
They may stay with you for a short period of time. They may stay with you for life. Some of them will only help with certain situations or until you get the message. They make themselves known to you when both of you are ready.
As one of my other witchy friends @cyrnarosorcery suggested to me, you can try an “Open Invitation” ritual where you light candles and meditate and see who approaches you. A guideline to help:
“I meditate, at this moment, to reach out to my potential deity(ies). Please step forth and show me who you are. I am very much interested in meeting you. Thank you.”
Be extremely patient and look out for any signs. The deity(ies) may not physically reveal themselves to you but they may give signs leading to them. What do you see? What do you feel? Hear? Any abnormal sensations/thoughts? Outside of meditation, is there anything unusual? Keep a look out for anything. It may take days, weeks, months, years but always look out for something. Never give up. Always have patience. They reach out to us, individually, in different ways.
When you do find them, thank them for being there with and for you. Find out more about them. Research. Ask them questions. How are they going to help you with your life? What do they expect from you in return? How do you go about worshiping them? How are you able to receive additional messages from them? Any questions you have for them, ask.
To each of us, we have our own deity(ies) that approach us in different ways and give us different messages. None of us ever have the same exact experiences/encounters even if we share the same deity(ies).
Happy Moon day Art Witches!!!
Let’s celebrate by working some lunar art magic. Here’s a fun project to connect with the moon and add that extra bit of magic to your paint water.
Moon Bowl
Materials:
Polymer clay
Oven
Cup/bowl
Acrylic paint
Step one: knead the clay until it’s soft and workable. Break it up into small chunks to help with the softening process.
Step two: Roll the clay out flat and in a uniform thickness, roughly ¼" thick.
Step three: Turn your cup or bowl over so that the bottom is facing up. Drape your clay pancake over the bowl and trim around the bottom edge where you want your bowl to end.
Step four: Bake your creation. Follow baking instructions on your clay package.
Step five: Take clay off the bowl before it fully cools as it will be much harder to get off once it contracts around your bowl.
Step six: After your new bowl is cooled off you can sand any parts that aren’t as smooth as you would like. Then paint your moon design on the interior of the bowl with your acrylic paint.
I’d love to see what you guys make! You can paint your moon in any phase you like. Maybe you want to paint your birth moon or make a bowl for each phase!
“The customary color of demon figures…in wax or clay, red is also the preferred color for ink used to write the names of such demons and enemies. The two uses are combined in execration texts, where both substitute figure (pot or clay figurine) and identifying inscription are often red.” pp. 147. “The Mechanics of Ancient Egyptian Magical Practice” by R. K. Ritner.
“Red (desher): The color associated with fire and with blood… could symbolize dangerous forces beyond the realm of total control… red could be used to signify anger, destruction, and death… Egyptian scribes used red ink rather than the usual black to write the hieroglyph for “evil” and for unlucky days of the year, as well as the names of hostile monsters and gods such as [the enemy].” pp. 106-107. “Symbol and Magic in Ancient Egyptian Art” by Richard H. Wilkinson.
Hello beautiful witches 💞! Now I want to share with you how I made magic terrarium 🌱.
First at all, I used:
🌹Glass form (I picked simple glass form, later it will be easier to plant your plants)
🌸Drainage ( For my drainage I used a small simple crystals, like quartz, agate, carnelian ans others)
🏵Charcoal
💮Plants substrate ( I used the cheapest one)
🌼 Succulents, Cactus
🌻Moss
🌺Crystals
Step 1
After that, when I choosed a glass form, I started with drainage. For my drainage I used a big stones small crystals. First I put down a big stones (you can find them in the forest or park), then a small crystals (2 centimetres over the surface). They will make my terrarium magic.🔮
Step 2
I have a couple of cockatiels, so I used their coal for my terrarium. Add a coal cover the surface.
Step 3
I added a plants substrate and my succulents.
Step 4
Add moss. Moss you can find everywhere: in park, in forest. Bring a bit moss to your home, and left it for a day. After that day if your moss still looks hod you cam use it for you terrarium.
Step 5
Add crystals or other decor into your terrarium.
Some tipps:
💜Don’t mix succulents and leafy plants. Leafy plants needs more water than succulents.
A lot of people seem to have issues using pendulums to get specific answers, to identify a spirits species or to find out things about who they are or how they look so here are some basic questions that can be answered with yes no or maybe. Honestly this is all just like playing that game Guess Who.
What Are You
Are you a ___? : pretty basic just go down the list of all the things you can think of until you either run out or get a yes.
Are you a Death related spirit ?? (Dullahan, Grim, Reaper, Banshee, etc)
Are you an elemental spirit? (fire, earth, water, air, ice, snow, lightning)
^^this is usually a subcategory. For example if you get water and faerie you are looking for a species of fae connected to water
Are you connected to a specific religion or culture
If yes specify which and then go through the list? religion? Abrahamic? Culture? Irish??
This is where shit get touchy so be respectful of other cultures and their spirits okay?
Are you something I already work with?
For spirit workers with a large spirit family this could be helpful
If you get a maybe it likely means that they are but a different type. Say you get a maybe and when you go through the types of spirits you work with you get a maybe for vampire. They are likely a different type of vampire than the one you already work with
Is you’re species one well known / known at all by humans?
Yes this does happen, and yes it complicates things a bit
Do you know what humans call you’re kind?
This happens occasionally usually with demons or subcategories of bigger species labels (angels, demons. etc)
Who Are You
Are you male?
Are you female?
Are you both/
neither
male and female?
Do you use She/Her | He/Him | They/Them pronouns
Do you have a sexual orientation?
Are you more masculine physically ?
Are you more feminine physically?
Do you feel neither human gender fits your physical description?
Do you have a birthday?
Go through all the months until you get a yes then do the same with the days. You will not likely get a year
Are you older than 100?
Ask in large intervals until you start to get more specific. ‘are you over 100?’ YES ‘over 200?’ NO ‘Over 150′ NO ‘Over 130′ Yes ‘over 140′ NO ‘I31 ‘NO ‘132′ NO ‘133′ YES , boom now you know their age in human years.
Are you taller than 5ft?
Basically the same as the age one but with height ‘are you over 5ft’ Yes ‘Over 6ft’ NO ‘5′5?’ YES
Do you have hair?
Do you have long/short hair?
Is you’re hair Brown/Black/Blonde/etc

Are you’re eyes more than one color?
Brown? Gold? Blue? Green? Red? Gold?
Are you’re pupils like mine? Like a cats? Like a snakes? Like a goats?
Are you’re
sclerae

Other
Do you want a vessel?
Can you assist me with a specific form of magic/witchcraft
Blood magic? Dream Work? Energy work? Astral travel?
Have I ever known you in a past life?
be careful with this one, don’t be manipulated. Also even if they did know you in a past life it does not mean they know what is best for you now
Do you have have a preferred type of offering?
Food? Incense? Energy? Blood? Music?
Are there specific ways we can bond?
Movies? Reading? Witchcraft? Art? Music?
Do you feed on energy? Blood? Physical food? Etc

Is “Cricle of the Sun” by Sharon LaBorde any good, while I try to stay away from the “Kemetic” side of YouTube, but I watch her videos often. I was considering buying her book.
I really like Circle of the Sun and think it’s a good book – and works very well with her other book Following the Sun.
Circle of the Sun is a good introduction to Kemetism and reconstructionism. But it also acknowledges other Egyptian pagan groups, like Tameran Wiccan, And makes allowances for them. In parts it can be simplistic, but that’s what makes it a good foundation text, it treats every subject as if you come to them with no prior knowledge.
The bits of the book I find most useful as the chapters on Personal Pratice, Heka and Hymns to the nTrw. There is a really great example of an Iru – basic offering ritual – that I still use a modified form of today for nearly all of my rituals. The hymns are really great because they are also written out phenotically so they are easy to read out without too much pratice – and there is a small section on how to adapt hymns for you own pratice which is really useful. The bits on how to build a community are not overly useful to me, and the introduction is also now a little outdated, being written in 2012. And there is a lot a fair bit of dodgy spelling of Egyptian words in parts of the book.
I might be quite nostalgic about this book as it was my first kemetic text, but I still really like it and refer back to it often. I wouldn’t recommend it necessarily to read it cover to cover book, but rather as a good resource to have.
Edit – I forgot to say that if you like her videos, the book is written in a similar style.
Warning: Possible fire hazard. Please do the spell responsibly and safely. Please PM me if the spell has dangerous loopholes I should fix.
What you’ll need:
– One candle of any color to represent your neighbor(s), preferably something laughably small like teacandles
– A match to light it
– Bucketful of water
– Pepper to be mixed into the water. If you’re feeling super spiteful, grab a fistful.
– Your bathroom to do the whole spell
– Your intent
Steps:
0. It’s preferable to CGS first (Center, Ground, & Shield) and maybe lock/salt your front door so you’ll be undisturbed for the rest of the spell
1. Light the candle, then blow the match. Don’t dump it to the trash bin yet because it’ll be important.
2. The flame of the candle represented your neighbor’s nosiness burning inside of themselves, taking your space & taxing you without regard to how you feel, just like a flame burning everything it touches indiscriminately. Think about how annoying that is. Think about how annoying the flame to exist no matter how many times you said no and turn off your neighbors. Ughhh uuugh UGGGGH, let it build on the small flame.
3. You see, your neighbors keep bothering you because their nosiness is still alive. So we have to put off that flame, right? Take your bucketful of water, mix it with pepper. As you stir, know that this water is no longer just any water to put off a flame. It’s a protective water, so it’s DOUBLE strong. And you have a bucketful of them vs. their puny flame of nosiness. So it’s TRIPLE strong. It WILL work because the energies at YOUR hand is set to make you win.
4. For the final touch, dump HALF the bucketful of your overpowered protective water to the flame and watch in satisfaction as the flame gets put off and is no match for the amount of water rushing over it. That means there are stronger energies, subtle and subconscious (water) they may be, that is working to protect you and is definitely stronger than your neighbor’s obtrusive willpower (fire).
5. Dump the other half of your Power Water™ to the match you used to light the candle. This will make sure the fire of your neighbor’s nosiness will never be lit again because the match is now damp, right?
6. Now you can dump the match to the trash bin and watch as whoever tries to even retrieve it (whoever wish to be nosy at you again) shall suffer the bad vibes.
7. (Optional) Do the evil laugh.
8. (Optional) Say thank you to Universe/Higher Perspective/your guardian for providing you all the means to protect yourself. Know that they got your back and know that you’re bigger than any threat presented at you.
For those of you that don’t make your own candles you can still do something a little special for the store bought ones.
I get my 7 day candles from the 99cent store. Before using them for any spell work you need to make sure that you clean and cleanse them. I like to make a solution of salt, water and lemon essential oil spray it on a cloth and clean the glass and the top of the candle. This part is extremely important. You don’t want some 99 cent store workers energy on the candle not forgetting all the 100′s of people that might have picked it up and put it back :-p
The candles that I made today are to be used on my altar for Hekate. This candle is pretty basic. If I was doing a spell candle I would write names, actions or something like that on the glass.
Remember, while you are dressing your candle concentrate on your intention for the candle. Thinking about what you’re gonna cook for dinner while making it will tarnish the affect.
What you need
Candles
Oils (I’m using homemade Hekate oil)
Screw or stick (For the holes)
Herbs
Cotton swab
Step one
Clean your candles and tools
Step Two
Take the screw or stick and pierce holes into the top of the candle. I use a pretty big screw so that I can go all the way down to the bottom of the candle.
Step Three
Use a dropper to put one drop of oil into the hole. Then use the cotton swab to spread the oil through-out by dipping it in the hole.
*If you don’t have a dropper you can cover the tip of the cotton swab and coat the inside that way*
*When working with oils, Less is more. The first time I ever used oil on a candle I covered the top with tons of it and it set on fire lol. So be careful!!!*
Step Four
Place small amounts of your chosen herbs over the holes and then use the cotton swab to push them inside. You can add as much of the herbs as you wish, it’s just easier to push down if you do small amounts at a time. I have in the past put small chip crystals down the holes too.
*Some witches add a layer of herbs to the top of the candle. I don’t do that with these ones because I leave them burning for a while and I don’t want the herbs to catch fire while I’m in another room*
Step Five
Once you have finished your candle it’s time to activate it. Some people write a spell or a blessing to say as they light it. Others say their intent for the candle out loud. Find the right way for you.
For this candle I say a little prayer (that I wrote) to Hekate and let her know that these candles are dedicated to her.
