What to do if witchcraft suddenly gets way too intense

witch-magic:

windvexer:

1. FINISH WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

► DO NOT walk away from an uncompleted ritual

► DO NOT walk away in the middle of a spell

Grab your notes and close everything down. Dismiss any spirits or entities you are working with. Close down the circle. End the ritual. Diffuse the energy of the spell and close it down. If you were enchanting an item, announce over it that it is closed and nothing more may come in or out.

Spells and rituals are little portals of power; if you leave one open without closing it, all sorts of things could get screwy and come through.

2. End any spooky/witchy atmosphere immediately.

  • Blow out all the candles.
  • Put out all the incense.
  • Turn on all the lights.
  • Turn off spooky chanting music. Turn on some happy music or better yet, a non-supernatural television show or movie you love.
  • If you were enchanting an item, immediately put it in salt.

3. Don’t destroy the items/notes you will need later.

Trust me, do not throw away the spell you wrote or the objects you were working on. If things go wrong in the future you will need these to fix the problem.

► Immediately write down exactly what happened. Write down every deviation from the spell that you did. Write down exactly what you said and saw during any visualizations. Write down exactly when things started to get freaky.

► If you were enchanting an item, keep it in a black bag filled with salt until you are ready to deal with it.

4. Cleanse.

Use an energy cannonball to purify the space you were working in. Burn rosemary and bay leaves to fumigate the area, or spritz a premade water solution if you can’t have smoke. Pay special attention to all ritual tools.

If you feel the need to, cleanse yourself by visualizing the power of the smoke enveloping you and driving away any bad vibes; or take a shower if you really feel something has gone wrong.

5. Get out of the area you were working in.

Go to another room. Leave the house if possible. Seek the company of others or turn on the television if you are alone.

6. Do mundane things for a while.

Eat a nice meal. Drink a big glass of water. Go for a jog. Do some chores. Put anything magical totally out of your head. Absolutely do not focus on how weird things just got.

7. When you are ready, return to the area you were working in.

Relax yourself and judge the energies within the room. Are things still ‘creepy’? A heavy-duty cleansing is in order. Do you feel as if someone else is there? Open a window and command it to leave – if it does not, more fumigation or a banishing is required.

Judge your ritual tools and determine if they will need additional cleansing. If you were working on an object, determine if it has been corrupted or if anything is wrong with it. If so, put it back in the salt and deal with it as soon as you can.

8. Take a break from witchcraft for a couple of days.

9. Figure out what went wrong.

Fear is never a good thing. There is a difference between embracing the darkness and being afraid.

► Fear can be caused if an entity showed up you were unprepared to deal with.

► Fear can be caused if your intuition (or perhaps a spirit ally) was warning you that what you were about to do was a really bad idea.

► Fear can be caused if you tap in to powers that overwhelm you.

You need to figure out what went wrong. It isn’t a situation where you can say “oh well” and try something else later – because you screwed up, and next time you may not get an adequate warning before things go to hell.

Important!

Daily Witch Rituals for Busy Witches

  • As soon as you wake up, open your curtains and let sunlight into your room! It’ll help wake you up.
  • Stretch and greet the sun. Ask her to watch over you again today.
  • Draw a daily tarot card.
  • Enjoy a cup of tea. Stir clockwise to attract, counter clockwise to banish.
  • Pick an outfit with color correspondences to match the day. Even if you feel tired, dress in bright colors and smile in the mirror. Manifest the happiness you deserve.
  • Pocket a small crystal. Amethyst for protection, rose quartz for love, labradorite for courage, moonstone for clarity, etc.
  • Water and talk to your plants. They protect your home by absorbing negative energy and curses. Thank them!
  • Cook with intention. Use herbs, colors, and flavors that correspond with what you’re trying to manifest.
  • Meditate, even if it’s just for five minutes. Set aside time for yourself to empty your mind and relax. During this time, forget about upcoming deadlines, this week’s grocery list, or any other reminder you keep in the back of your mind.
  • Before you go to bed, review what you’re thankful for. Talk to your deities or just remind yourself of all the good things you got going for you!
  • Greet the moon and ask her to watch out for you while you rest.

Easy Ways to Connect More Strongly with your Deities

reallytinydragon:

  • Say Good Morning when you wake up, say Good Night before you fall asleep
  • Share your food with them. If you’ve ever wanted some of your friend’s french fries, you know how they probably feel.
  • Donate to causes that fall under the jurisdiction of your deity. Are they a goddess for women? Donate to a women’s shelter or Planned Parenthood. Is your deity a patron of the arts? Give to PBS or local theatres.
  • Cook a full meal in honor of your deity. Seriously. It sounds silly but you can definitely find a regional cookbook based on your pantheon to cook a full ass feast for them.
  • Write them letters or notes. Keep a little notebook of notes and letters to your deity. Did you see a cute cat that you think Frigga would’ve liked? Maybe you saw a girl’s outfit that would’ve made Aphrodite drool. Let them know, or give yourself a reminder to tell them about it later.
  • Change your phone background. Does your deity have a temple or built pantheon? Put that shit as your wallpaper! Did you find a picture that so perfectly captures the spirit of your deity? Make it your lock screen.
  • Make them a Mix Tape. You know, so you can belt out songs in their honor while making your way downtown. Faces pass. And you’re home bound.
  • DIY your Altar. I’m not going to lie, I’m not to altar type. However, it is a fantastically personalized space that you can do anything with. So don’t let anyone stop you from knitting that mini statue of Hecate a scarf.

🌟27 Ways to Develop Your Psychic Abilities🌟

1. Meditate every day for at least 10 – 15 minutes.  Raising your vibration is super important when you want to develop your psychic abilities.  This is because Spirit energy vibrates at a higher frequency.

Meditation will allow you to be in a relaxed state and raise your energetic vibration.  You’ll begin to feel more connected to your Higher Self, Spirit, and the energy of others.  For variety and some fun, try a guided meditation!

2. Get to know your Spirit Guides.  During meditation, ask your Guides to show themselves to you.  Ask them their names.  Don’t filter anything, just go with it and trust.

3. Practice psychometry.  Psychometry is reading the energy of an object.  It’s SUPER fun and can be a great way to start practicing your abilities.  All you need to do is hold an object (preferably a metal object and something that has lots of energy on it, like a wedding ring), then, close your eyes and see if you can intuitively sense, see, or hear anything about the owner of the object.

4. Develop clairvoyance with flower visualization.  Visualization exercises will help develop your psychic abilities, specifically, clairvoyance.  Grab some flowers from your yard or a cheap bouquet from the market.  (It’s nice to have different types of flowers for this exercise.)  Place the flowers in front of you and study them for a little while.  Now, close your eyes and imagine one of the flowers.  When you can see see the flower clearly in your mind, move onto the next, and so on.

5. Develop your clairvoyance with random visualization.  This is fun, especially if you’ve mastered the flower visualization or just plain ole’ don’t like flowers.

6. Take a walk in nature.  Meditation doesn’t have to be boring – or done sitting down.  Do a mindfulness meditation by taking a walk in nature.  Concentrate on as each step as you walk.  Focus on the movement of your body and say the word “step” with each step you take.  This will help your mind clear of clutter and help increase your vibration.  Of course, taking a regular walk in nature without concentrating on your steps is also very meditative!

7. Read a few pages of a psychic development book every day.

8. Read posts by trusted psychic and medium bloggers to continue getting educated about intuition and the Spirit world.

9. Visit an antique store.  Notice what you intuitively FEEL or sense by being in the store.

Does the energy feel wonderful?  Heavy?

Now pick up an object.  Do you sense anything?  Hear a name?  See a vision?  Using your psychic abilities in this way helps increase them!

10. Make a symbol book.  Psychic information comes to us in a variety of ways.  It’s often symbolic and not meant to be taken literally.

Your Spirit Guides will help you interpret information as you develop your psychic abilities.  Get yourself a nice journal and pen (I did this years ago and it’s an awesome keepsake!).

Sit quietly and invite your Spirit Guides and Angels in for help.

Ask them to give you symbols for things like events and occupations.  For example, for “birthday”, you may be shown a birthday cake (if you’re clairvoyant) or hear the happy birthday song (if you’re clairaudient).

Write it down in your symbol book.  Now, when you give a reading and are shown a birthday cake, you’ll know what it means!

11. If your using tarot, make your own tarot book.  Get a tarot deck that you love, such as the The Rider Tarot Deck.  Instead of looking at the meanings that come with the cards, use your intuition to make your own meanings.  Spend time with one card each day meditating on the card.  Write down all of your impressions of each card and what it means to you.  This is a great way to develop your psychic abilities and learn tarot.

12. Practice seeing auras.  ANYONE can learn to see an aura, so this is a great way to develop your psychic abilities.  Have a friend stand in front of a plain colored wall.  Step back about eight feet.  Focus on your friend’s forehead (third eye area).  Imagine you are looking through her, at the wall behind.  You will start to notice the aura layer around the head.

13. Develop your clairaudience (psychic hearing).  Each night, before you go to sleep, lay quietly in bed.  Listen to the sounds around you.  Do you hear crickets?  The wind rustling through the trees?  Focusing on the sounds that you normally ignore will sharpen this intuitive gift.

14. Practice giving readings often.  This is KEY to becoming a psychic or medium.  You can read all you want about golf, but until you get out there on the course and practice, you won’t become a great golfer.  It’s the same with developing your psychic abilities.

15. Tune-in to your pet.  When your pet is calm, sit with him and try intuitively picking up on how he feels.  This will help develop your clairsentience.

16. Practice reading old family photos.  I used to do this with my grandmother’s old black and white photos of family members that I had never met.  Look at the people in the photos.  Write down everything that you sense about them.  This is one of the most fun ways to develop your psychic abilities.

17. Journal often.  Journaling helps get you in touch with your Higher Self (soul) and spiritual helpers.  Try this:  Think of a situation you need guidance on.  Journal about it.  While you do, allow yourself to relax and let yourself be Divinely guided.

18. Pray.  This will help you continue to feel loved, supported, and connected to the Divine.

19. Ask a friend to call you – telepathically.  In your mind, hold the image on your friend.  Imagine energetically asking her to contact you within 24 hours.

20. Join a spiritual development circle or take a class.  This will give you a safe, loving environment in which to develop your psychic abilities and mediumship.

21. Get to know other psychics and mediums.  Being a psychic or medium can be pretty interesting!  It’s nice to have the support of others and, if you’re gifts are just developing, you can practice on each other.

22. Learn to turn your gifts “on”.  As soon as you start to develop your psychic abilities, you’ll want to learn how to control them.  This way you’re not “on” all the time, picking up everybody’s stuff.

Prior to any intuitive practice or giving a practice readingimagine lighting a candle in your mind.  Invite your Spirit Guides and Angels in.

The candle visualization lets your spiritual helpers know that you are open to psychic and Spirit communication.  This will help you learn to turn on your gifts when you want to use them.

23. Learn to turn your gifts “off”.  When you are done practicing, imagine blowing out the candle.  Thank your spiritual helpers for their Divine support.  This will help you control your gifts when you’re not working with Spirit or giving a reading.

24. Focus on your third eye.  Clairvoyance is one of the main psychic abilities.  To develop clairvoyance, take a few moments and focus on your third eye area (just above and between your eyebrows).  Imagine it opening up.  You may even feel your third eye begin to tingle.

25. Keep your vibration high.  Having a high vibration is important when you develop your psychic abilities.  Why?  Because:

  • Spirit vibrates at a very high frequency.
  • Living a joyful, authentic life, will help you feel more connected to the Divine and your Higher Self.
  • Like attracts like which means that you will attract other beautiful, spiritually aware souls into your life!

26. Eat high-vibrational foods.  Adding high vibration foods to your diet, such as fresh fruits and veggies will help your body feel good.  And the better you feel physically, the better you will feel psychically and it will be easier to develop your psychic abilities.

27. Keep a dream journal.  When your first start to develop your psychic abilities, you might start having really vivid dreams.  This is because our logical minds aren’t resisting Spirit energy while we are sleeping. (Our logical minds often make us second guess ourselves when we are awake.)  Keeping a dream journal can be helpful – and a nice keepsake of your intuitive journey!

Hope all this tips will help you opening your third eye 🙈

I’m here to remind you to write an abundance log because it freaking works.

what’s that?

Okay I’ve gotten a few asks about this so here I go!

What is it?

It’s a method to be grateful about your income and to attract more abundance since when you’re feeling good about money is when it comes.

How is it done?

The way you do it is by simply write down the money that comes to you each day and say thank you for it. You don’t have to write EVERYTHING nor it has to be the exact amount. The goal is to appreciate the fact that you got money (you want to feel the abundance not the lack of it).

Now I’m going to put an example of a day in my life and how I would write it down. Let’s say today I went shopping with a gift card, my mom took me out to the cinema and dinner.

In my notebook I would write:

+60€ thank you for the clothes

+9€ thank you for taking me to the cinema!

+20€ thank you for the food

As you see you don’t actually have to be handed money to practice this method so keep an eye to what people pay for you and say thank you!

Does it work?

After the first week of doing this I was told my University would pay me back 500€ (it’s something I asked for like three months ago and thought I didn’t make the cut to receive it). After two weeks of doing my abundance long I was invited to the VIP area of a luxurious disco for free (and let me tell you, this is not the kind of things that happen to me). So, for me, it actually works and it doesn’t hurt trying out.

I feel like this concept could be applied to other things as well? Like hmm… happiness? Like for instance, you could say (about your significant other or someone else idk)

+ thank you for making me a cup of coffee before work

+ thank you for reminding me to take my medicine

+ thank you for making dinner

So this would attract more good deeds, and therefore more happiness? Idk maybe I’m wrong.

Absolutely! You can make the log about anything. I personally like to say my gratitude list after waking up so I feel like I already do that and I prefer to only track my income. But it’s a method that can be applied to more things

I saw this post a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try. Since then, I have felt much more positive, much luckier, and I really feel like I’m drawing more abundance to myself. So yeah, this method really, really works!

Self Altar: Honouring Yourself

spellsandwitchtips:

* This is an original spell of my own design from my BOS.*

Self Altar: Honouring Yourself

Uses:

This is an altar you make to honour yourself. It can be made depending on what your needs are. Use it to enhance self-esteem, self-love, and raise positive self-awareness. You can also use it to promote strength, healing, and positivity.

Materials:

Things you can put on this altar can include (but not limited to);

– food & drink

– favorite teas/coffee

– recipes

– a special mug/cup

– flowers/plants (potted, fresh cut, dried, etc.)

– herbs (jarred, potted, fresh cut, dried, etc.)

– anything you like from nature (rocks, leaves, branches, petals, seeds, etc.)

– charged water, moon/rain water, gem elixirs

– books

– song lyrics (can be something you’ve written or by a musician you enjoy)

– poetry, quotes (again, something by you, by someone else whose work you enjoy)

– music (sheet music, CD’s, vinyl, tapes, concert tickets, anything to do with music you like)

– photos (from your life, of something you like, or a photo to represent something)

– candles, incense, perfume, lotion, etc.

– a favorite item of clothing

– jewelry

– any trinkets, odds & ends, objects

– crystals

– anything you use in your craft

– anything from your body (fingernails, eyelashes, blood, hair, etc.)

Basically anything that holds meaning to you or that you feel represents you or something you like.

Other Ideas:

– pictures of yourself that make you feel better about your appearance

– pictures of loved ones (or gifts from them, something that reminds you of them) to remind you that you aren’t alone and do have people that care about you

– a list of achievements or things you’re proud of

– a list of things you like about yourself

– a letter to yourself (must be positive and encouraging)

– mantras, positive and encouraging thoughts

– a written or typed & printed recount of an experience/memory that makes you feel good (should be a good, happy, or even funny memory, something that fills you up. Can be absolutely anything at all. Write it in as much detail you want and however you want; a guided meditation into the memory, a journal entry, just write down what you remember.)

How & When To Use It:

You can make this altar any time of year and change it as often as you wish. If it helps, construct it as you for anything/anyone else (deity, sabbat, a loved one). Consider what you would like to see if someone made an altar or left offerings for you. Whatever your reason is for making this altar, it will likely affect when it’s made and what is put on it.

Example: If you usually become depressed during the winter, you might make it right around the time it arrives. You might include crystals and herbs that help with depression, helpline numbers, photos of loved ones, positive thoughts or anything that comforts and cheers you up.

Another example could be: You make this altar with a focus on self-love and could include a list of things you like about yourself, rose quartz, a letter you write to you to read when you feel bad about yourself, positive affirmations, things you’ve done that you’re proud of, strengths you have, hobbies and talents, etc.

For more clarification or an example of my own, keep an eye out! (Once I have my list made up and make a post I will insert a link to it.)

Journaling for manifestation? What is that exactly? 🙄

powerpriestess:

it’s called scripting! you write out your goals and manifestations in detail as if they’ve already happened. ex. if I wanted to manifest a trip to Hawaii I’d write a scene where I’m chilling out on the beach and vividly describe what it feels like, what it smells like, what emotions I’m feeling, etc. through writing this, you’re setting the intention and sending it to the universe. it will also raise your vibration because, by writing out that scene, it will probably get you hyped for what could come. scripting isn’t for everyone bc not everyone is into writing, but it’s a fun tool! ✨🌞

Tips for Christian Witches

baby-christianwitch:

1. Charge things through prayer.

2. Listen to or sing hymns or Christian music while working on witchy stuff.

3. If you go to church or another place of worship, you probably get nice community vibes from being there. Channel that sense of community into your tools to charge them. (Though, I still recommend praying before use.)

4. If your place of worship has stained-glass windows, try to sit in the light coming through them. In my experience, it’s a very cleansing and spiritual experience.

5. Create spells based on Bible verses or passages, like a glamour based on Song of Solomon chapter 4, or a spell to be more patient with others based on Matthew 7:5.

6. If you have concerns about whether you can really be both a Christian and a witch, consider the Magi.

This past Christmas season, around the time I was beginning to think about becoming a witch, our interim pastor gave a message discussing the Magi. She pointed out that they were astrologers, and that the word Magic actually comes from the word Magi. They read the stars, and God lead them to His Son. They were shown the way to Jesus through their astrology.

I’m not certain if magic truly exists, though I WANT to believe in it. But I firmly believe, if it DOES exist, it exists because God created it, just as He created the universe and all within it. And I believe that, just like medicinal plants, humans can use magic for good and bad purposes; because that’s how God designed it, giving us the free will to decide how we will use it.

If you’re having a serious issue with debating whether or not you can be a Christian witch, take a break. Pray about it. Maybe God has a plan for you that doesn’t include witchcraft. But, if you’re feeling brief flashes of guilt and wondering if you’re sinning because you have a crystal in your pocket, think about the Magi. God used their astrological practices to lead them to His Son. Who knows what you’ll be led to experience?

I may add to this at some point.

i am so confused in how one should mostly rely on creating spells. how does one even start? with intuition? “oh this will work” or what ☹️

thestarlitcrossroads:

From a traditional witchcraft standpoint, using historical or traditional spells proves to be powerful and effective. Traditional spells also have energetic umph from years of use. Generally even when using a standard spell, a witch will still add in a personal element to make it their own.

Writing your own spells can be super helpful to understand spell structure and the hows for doing spellwork. However, using tried and true spells is completely valid, and can help if you’re stuck. And you can always adapt spells, especially versatile spells, like knot charms and spellboxes.

It is popular to privilege creating your own spells versus using published spells or traditional charms. But truthfully, there wouldn’t be the popularity all throughout publishing history of standard spells if a lot of people weren’t using them.

We suggest knowing how to do both. Start with standard spells or making adaptations to standard spells if it will help you build experience and confidence writing your own. If your comfort zone is creating your own spells, take that creative thinking and see if it helps you understand the structure and metaphysics behind the spells you find in books. You might discover some techniques you want to try this way.
