the point op is trying to make, i think, as well as the point i interpret, is that the gods can be depicted as any skin color (that isn’t white, obviously). the problem is, however, that the skin colors often chosen for their modern depictions are either too light, or straight up whitewashed. egyptians are and were actually much more varied than one single “golden”, and with our freedom of depiction, to depict them darker, especially as black, should be encouraged and needs not to be as rare as it is. plus, what harm is it doing if gods are depicted as black?

(also, think of the gods that do actually have black skin,)
