Bastet is the egyptian goddes of cats,home,fertiltiy,and childbirth. However,many people dont look past the cats and will often confuse her with Sekhmet, the lionheaded goddess of war and the sun.

Bastet protected the home from evil spirits and disease, especially diseases associated with women and children. As with many Egyptian deities, she also played a role in the afterlife as a guide and helper to the dead although this was not one of her primary duties. In some versions, She is the concort of Anubis,God of the Afterlife.
