Alternatively, realize that “mythology” doesn’t mean “not true” the definition of mythology is a collection of stories, especially those belonging to a particular religious or cultural tradition. All religious stories are myths. All histories are myths. They aren’t untruths. Instead of changing the word used, we should change the misconception that it denotes something less than a reality shared by a group of people.
