Today’s art therapy at the Day Hospice was card-making. Either for Christmas or for whatever it was we each wanted to do. From the pile of fancy cardstock scraps, I retrieved a piece of silver and gold flecked black stock, some gold stock, and an old X-mas card which had some shiny red bits. Using only the sort of tools available to children (ridiculously blunt safety scissors and a hole punch), I managed to make a sort of remembrance card for Terence. His birthday is the 26th of December. He would have been 75 this year.

I also had one of my cancer drug treatments today and the nurse slipped me a copy of my latest MRI results. The important bit reads, “Conclusion: No evidence of recurrent disease. Findings are unchanged since the previous MRI scan…” (The previous report had basically said they couldn’t see any tumours and that I no longer had any midline shift.)
