Update: that weird tea light I found literally will not light. Something is apparently wrong with the wick. It’s the only candle in the house that won’t be missed, and it’s defective. I spent an embarrassingly long time last night trying to light it. We don’t even have a lighter, I had to use a TOASTER. I just want a lit candle on my altar for like two fucking minutes come ON.
Finally I was just like, “So guys…we’re just gonna pretend the candle is lit, alright?”
Every time I’ve tried to use tea light candles, I’ve had the same problem where they wouldn’t light. Now I just use the small jar candles from my local Wal-Mart. They’re only 2 inches tall and you can get different scents for different gods.
