Me, learning people are actually wanting to worship a/pep:
You know, I’m curious—does it hurt to be such a judgemental fuck? I can’t imagine being so full of myself I judge other people on their worship that affects me exactly 0% lol
saying this as politely as possible, but i don’t think you understand the context.
A/pep, true to ancient Kemet, is not a deity. it is the enemy of literal existence and those following Kemeticism know not to worship it. those that are pursuing worshipping it are pursuing something akin to a Lovecraft entity, except much more real and much more powerful. A/pep is not a god. it is not a friendly entity. we are trying to prevent this because contact with it only brings about pain and misfortune. it seeks to undo the very concept of reality and existence, and we are trying everything in our power to stop it because that is what Kemeticism is. that is what Kemet literally tells us to do. worshipping it would be akin to worshipping miasma in Hellenismos. doesn’t add up and severely damages the practitioner.
please be considerate that this is an integral part of our religion and we are not trying to dictate anyone’s practice. we are trying to protect them because this thing is a genuine evil. it does affect us. it kind of affects the whole world.
Just my 2 cents into this whole mess: Many conquerors throughout history have avoided extremely drastic measures when it comes to taking over land. If it isn’t obvious, it’s because they want the land, for their food, for their people, for their purposes. If you wanted to take over a small neighboring country, you wouldn’t nuke it rendering it inhabitable.
Because so many cannot grasp the nothingness that the s/n/a/k/e is and wants to impose, I leave this analogy: Set, Satan, and other chaotic beings that can be viewed negatively throughout history and cultures can represent overthrowing the current regime to change things, to make life different than it is now, a sort of necessary and inevitable constant evolution, like bombing oil refineries to make a point. In contrast, the nothingness is akin to using a mass weapon of destruction to render the entire earth uninhabitable. Except, we’re talking about the entire universe.
Nothing would survive, nor would anything ever exist again. Life would mean nothing, and that despicable entity does not care about you, does not care at all for anyone nor anything.
In my opinion, and in my practice, every deity exists in opposition to the nothingness, They hold it back, cut it into pieces, and protect us. And if someone wants to worship it, then you’re advocating for the genocide and mass extinction of everything.
@kemetics who have more experience with this, feel free to tell me if I’m reading something wrong.
