Hello there c:
“white” and “black” magic often have racist connotations behind them. Implying black is bad and white is the better half. Equally, with light or dark magic.
Tw: Abuse.
As for anti-curse or anti-hex, it sorta is founded by the fact that it can be victim shaming if one wanted to cast either on their abuser, if you were wronged, you shouldn’t bite back sort of mentality. Personally, I DON’T curse, but I have had people curse for me. It’s just a personal preference.
These are very rough and short explanations but they are the gist of why I don’t like people who believe these things to follow me.
- To add something to this without being a dick, I was taught the law of three by an Aunt at the age of 8. I was Wiccan for a long time but now I consider myself more just Pagan than anything else. But the law of three is what you put out comes back by three. Whether that be good or bad. I mean it’s basically just saying that karma is real and what you put out can come back to bite you if it should be negative. I was also taught by the same aunt that the only appropriate magic to use on someone without their permission, even if it’s good, is a binding spell. And I mean that’s just what I believe and I’m in no means trying to force it upon anyone, I was just introduced to magic at a very young age and I like to share my experience. ☺
Interesting addition indeed. It’s cool to hear other perspectives.
I believe with the proper protection, and if you tie up loop holes within the curse hex (i.e, I curse this person, but I feel no repercussions) that this won’t happen. I also never personally believed in the three fold law, as I have seen too many people put out negative energy but never feel the side effects of it. I suppose it is based on personal experiences, though.
