Hey can you give an exsample of a low cost altar? I keep seeing people talk about how you don’t have to spend a bunch on magick and altar suplies, but it’s really hard to get insperation when all the altars I see online have 50 dollar statues on them

aroacepagans:

Sure thing anon!

So I don’t have any pictures of a like…intentionally low budget altar, but I’m a poor college student who has to do things cheaply so I guess I’ll just walk you through my own altar to give you some ideas.

This is my current fall altar

And I think the most expensive thing on it is this, which was like $7 at a pagan pride event.

And then besides that I have all this stuff from the dollar store

A pumpkin from the dollar section at target

Some more pumpkins from Diaso (if you don’t have them in your area they’re basically a $2 store)

This chestnut I took off the ground

These guys, which were some tokens from a ritual I attended

And these which were both gifts

The pentical, if you were to buy one, was probably about 10 bucks? Maybe 15 with shipping, but tbh you can make a perfectly functional pentical yourself with dollar store art supplies and I probably wouldn’t even have this one if it hadn’t been a gift. And the deer fur was a gift from a hunter so idk if you could even buy something like that.

So in total, I probably spent all of $14 on this altar and ya know? It’s pretty okay. Like it’s not too shabby, so don’t feel discouraged anon, you can definitely make a nice altar on a budget.
