As for Anubis, I kinda went overboard because I really love his aesthetic – the doodles on his second page turned out so cute that I had to share! And don’t ask why I gave him gold nips. It just seemed right. 😅
Aside from all the other reasons it’s gross, humor that’s based on degrading women and minorities is plain lazy. If you can’t make people laugh without punching down, you’re just not funny.

When I was still in my MSW program, we paid a visit to the Puyallup DCFS office. We learned about the shittier aspects of how social work it’s professionals have treated Indigenous peoples in the states–especially in Washington. One of the things I learned was the history of Mt Rainier’s name. Then we learned the history of its original names: including Tahoma, Tacobeh, and Pooskaus.
