i dont give a goddamn how neat that pic or gifset was!! dont feed that snake!!

Yo and like a sucker I saw some dope street art and reblogged it before I looked up and saw the source 😑😑.

Literally a minute ago. This post @ me too hard when I was already mad at myself.

Since I’ll reblog this and get asks going “wait, what did she do?”, here’s a short list in no particular order:

–Has been caught plagiarizing DOZENS if not hundreds of posts, ripping material wholesale uncredited off Reddit and from other Tumblr blogs

–Bragged about her family having a slave, but it being okay because they’re not white and it’s normal in their part of the world (I’M SERIOUS) and saying she’d “raise awareness” about it

–offered “life advice” to the tune of something like $30 a pop, but never actually followed through, after collecting only G-d knows how much money

–has sold stolen art

And finally:

Sources. LOTS of them. This person designed this blog so other people wouldn’t have to. Take a dig, then block the shit out of her.

a LOT of slasher flicks from the 70s and 80s strike me as sexually violent revenge fantasies against women’s growing independence at the time tbh

So.. I did my senior thesis on the subject of containment methods of sexuality… and like this is actually 100% spot on. After the 50s and 60s sexual liberation, media and film was used to vilify and demonize growing female independence and female sexuality while also showing how women straying away from their “rightful place and domain (the House)” leads to negative outcomes. Such examples include the babysitter fear, where babysitters would cook the baby in the oven, or the fear of showering while home alone at night because someone might get into the house and kill you. These fears were created in order to make women go back to feeling like they need men to protect them and that they should protect their kids and take care of them themselves.

While I’m at it, it’s basically the same kinda stuff happening but about gay people, especially lesbians with the growth of Lesbian Pulp Fiction in the 50s and 60s. It’s really interesting and saddening stuff, but just thought I’d share. People will go to great lengths to do this, and they still do when they kill off queer characters today. Or when the woman is only used as a method of enhancing the lead male character.
