Can someone PLEASE give me pointers on how to approach Set because every time I get hyped up to, I get intimidated and like..I will be honest. I don’t have a lot in my apartment. I’m broke so I can’t do anything fancy. All I have is a white candle maybe and that’s it.
Like…I want to make my introduction respectful and something he’d like and be impressed by…idk??
I’m of the opinion that, if all you have is a candle, then that’s all you need. Only got a cup of water and a slice of bread? Traditional offerings, I’m sure he’ll appreciate. Your last pack of noodles that’s also your only meal of the day? He never yelled at me for offering to share it. No incense, no candle, no food? I bet the Lord of the red lands understands scarcity and can appreciate a bowl of fresh water.
It’s an introduction, it’s reaching out and saying hi. Sutekh can definitely feel intimidating, but he can also be funny, snarky, casual. Maybe he wants to intimidate you, so you’ll try to get through it and say hi anyway, and if that’s the case, whatever you do will be impressive, you know what I mean?
If you want to be more formal and ritual type, maybe look up epithets, and some rituals to base or get ideas around, clean yourself and your space up. Even if you can’t offer a feast, it shows you’re putting up efforts.
Be sincere, that usually makes good impressions too
